About Choicelab's license
Choicelab is free software, with its two core components—the editor, and the player—licensed differently:
- The Choicelab editor is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPL-3.0). This means, in part, that if you use Choicelab's editor code in some way, that code must also be free software. Read the GPLv3 license.
- The Choicelab player is licensed under the MIT License. This means you can embed the player in your own projects—including commercial or proprietary ones—without GPL obligations. Read the MIT license.
Please note:
- Your project (.clx) files, assets (e.g. video and audio files), and exported files from the editor are yours, and aren't subject to the above licenses.
- The Choicelab name is a trademark of Austin Heller, and is not included in the above licenses. It cannot be used in derivative projects without written permission from the author.
